Little Owls Childcare Centre is situated on the edge of Wedmore Somerset - on the Wells Road. A unique Day Nursery offering outstanding education and childcare to children aged 3 months to 5 years old - from 8am until 6pm every weekday, all year round. Little Owls has the added advantage of being sited in a stunning rural location on the Isle of Wedmore with views across to the Mendips. An easy to find location with excellent access to surrounding villages and the motorway. We have just had our first Ofsted Inspection (February 2010). Our holistic approach encompasses a range of Outdoor activities; looking and learning about the changing world around us. Our rural setting is ideal for this. For the older children we have daily access to the wonderful adjoining paddock, enabling them to develop their Nature Watching skills. We have a large secure themed garden, where we use nature and the environment to encourage and inspire the children to grow in confidence, independence and self esteem through mastering small outdoor tasks. The garden also has a vegetable patch, activity areas for free play and our very own wooden pirate ship. All the team at Little Owls are qualified Early Years Practioners. We also have specialists in every area to best meet the needs of your child, whatever their age. We pride ourselves on our range of activities, offering Yoga, Singing, Music and Dance, Gardening and Cooking sessions weekly. Every child's progress is carefully recorded and photographed in their personal file, providing a complete visual and written record of their development.
